Editing

Premiere Pro CS5.5 which has been used as editing, and it is easy access to After Effects if I feel the footage needs any post-production effects such as a blur vignette in any memory sequences.

Possible Poster Fonts

This font is good as it has a slightly childish look, with simple design. This is easy to see and read, while still keeping to the same style

This font doesn't fit the feel of the film to be the title, however I do like the style. Another major problem with this font is the difficulty to see the letters within.

This font is very close to the font that is at the title of 'Daddy', the ghostly image and outline of the font. The way of making this better, is by copying the image over and adding a slight blur/gausian blur to the font, which will difuse the background.

This font does not fit the style/genre of the film as it has a slightly more religious look than the short has.

I like the most of the letters in this font because they are easy to read and have a slight distortion. However the Ls and Ts of the font are too distorted and don't seem as serious of this.

This font is very similar to the 'TelevisualMan' font, which is very digital and distorted. However this digital look doesn't fit the genre of the my short film in any way, so it would be useless as the font.

This is a very good font because it has a childish look, but still has a managable look and doesn't seem to strange. This could work as the font for the 'The Absence of Life'

This is the font that we have decided to use for the actual film because it's suits the narrative and genre.

I am going to have to use more fonts to see what will fit the genre and compare them directly to other posters.

Known during its lengthy production variously as Seven Days and then Here and There, the film stars John Simm as a man imprisoned for drug-smuggling and charts his relationship with his wife, played by Shirley Henderson. Written by Winterbottom and Laurence Coriat, the film was shot a few weeks at a time over a five-year period from 2007-2012 to reflect the protagonist's time in prison and achieve an authentic aging process

 This shot is very similar to a shot used in my film, however I do like the use of landscape agains the characters. And the vast area infront of them as they walk down the beach.
 
This shot can be used in the poster because it gives the complete feel of my short, however there are some aspects that I want to change e.g. I want to extend the sky to fill the page, which will give me a plce to put the title of the film and other aspects of the poste , this will be better and more effective than putting it on a plane black or white background.
